Kripalu Yoga is a form of Hatha Yoga developed in the USA and taught all over the world. Essentially, Yoga is the practice of joining mind, body and spirit through the use of various postures. By bringing breathing and mental discipline to physical movement, the practice of Yoga can aid in better health and comfort for the body.
Classes at YogaLife focus on the breath to help alignment, strength and muscle tone while utilizing deep breathing for relaxation in order to gain greater flexibility. Strength is gained through using the body's weight to perform the exercises and movements of Yoga.
About YogaLife Studios
I began studying Kripalu Yoga in 1992 and received my Kripalu Yoga Teachers Certificate in 1999. Since then I have taught yoga at M.I.T., Wellbridge, Fitness First, Wellspace, Wellesley Community Center and now at my own studio atop Prospect Hill in Somerville. My goal is to provide an friendly, comfortable and personal experience for all.
